The Quebec Marine Network (RQM) unveils the list of the first six intersectoral research projects funded as part of its Odyssée Saint-Laurent research program. Among these projects, one is carried out as part of a collaboration with the France-Quebec Institute for Scientific Cooperation in Support of the Maritime Sector (IFQM). The FLAMENCO project on Atlantic halibut is conducted in close collaboration with Saint-Pierre and Miquelon where researchers and partners from Quebec and France are involved in this project totaling $ 100,000 per year for two years, funded equally by the two nations.
In addition, as part of the first call for the mobility of researchers, the IFQM recently supported six Quebec researchers to work on a collaborative project with French colleagues. Researchers from all over Quebec will have the opportunity to spend a few weeks in France in order to mount and file a larger joint research project between researchers from Quebec and France.
